Threat Analyst

Have you got a minimum of 1 year ‘hands on’ experience in a cyber threat analyst role identifying, analysing, and tracking cyber threats, producing intelligence reports at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels to keep key stakeholders informed of the evolving threat landscape.

We are the independent regulator for doctors in the UK, it’s our job to protect, promote and maintain the health and safety of the public by ensuring proper standards in the practice of medicine. This means you’ll be part of an extremely professional IS team that has pride and purpose.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape and improve the systems already in place by working with technologies that maintain pace with emerging business, security and industry requirements.  Working with our partners and products you and your colleagues will continually enhance, support and secure our systems in a busy and focused environment.

This will involve:

  • Monitoring and analysing threat intelligence sources to identify emerging cyber threats relevant to the GMC.
  • Support incident response efforts by providing contextual threat intelligence and enrichment, to include intelligence on threat actors, TTPs, and IOCs.
  • Drafting concise threat summaries, briefings, and intelligence reports.
  • Correlating internal telemetry with external threat intelligence to identify potential risks, attack patterns, and vulnerability exposures.
