Head of Enquiries (Registration and Revalidation)

Head of Enquiries (Registration and Revalidation)

Manchester

We work with doctors, physician associates, anaesthesia associates, patients, and a wide range of partners to support good, safe patient care across the UK. As our new Head of Enquiries, you’ll play a central role in shaping how we serve the public and the professions, bringing fresh ideas on operational excellence and customer experience. It’s an exciting moment to join us as we modernise, transform, and look ahead.

You’ll lead around 100 colleagues across three key functions. The Contact Centre is responsible for handling all first contacts into the organisation from registrants, stakeholders and the public, across multiple channels. Colleagues in our Complaints team look at feedback about our policies and services, helping us to reach fair resolutions and embed learning and improvement. And our Registration Services team leads identity checking and verification for everyone who joins our registers. All of these teams have a focus on delivering outstanding customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, including via the implementation of new technologies.

Across these teams, you’ll champion outstanding customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, including the adoption of new technologies. You’ll provide both strategic direction and hands‑on operational leadership, building strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners. Through thoughtful, supportive management, you’ll help colleagues develop their skills and foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture.

The person

You’re a positive, confident leader with significant experience in large‑scale operational management with the ability to think clearly under pressure, to make fair, proportionate decisions, using evidence and insight to guide your approach. You’re comfortable leading change and have a strong track record of building constructive, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You’ll be joining a committed and dedicated team based in our modern Manchester city‑centre offices, with occasional travel to our London base.

During the induction period, you'll be required to work in the office at least 2 days per week for 6 weeks. Once you have completed your induction you'll work 1 day minimum a week in the office. We may ask you to attend the office on additional days where necessary. Ocassional travel to our London office will be required.

We are happy to consider a range of flexible working options. Flexible working requests will be considered in line with the policy.
