Business Administrator Apprenticeships (Central) - Manchester
We are looking for people to join our Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship positions. In these roles, you will have the opportunity to work with important teams at the GMC. Working with our apprenticeship provider to complete your apprenticeship in a 15-month period.
Located in one of our three central Manchester offices, you will gain valuable experience in an office environment. This will include working with different areas such as our Investigations Team and Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS), allowing you to develop skills in customer service, computer proficiency, the ability to perform under pressure, teamwork, and many more skills.
What does the GMC do?
We work with doctors, patients, and other stakeholders to support good, safe patient care across the UK. We set the standards doctors and those who train them need to meet and help them achieve them. If there are concerns these standards may not be met or that public confidence in doctors may be at risk, we can investigate, and take action if needed.

Where will I be based?
Manchester – We have opportunities across our Central Manchester offices, all in great locations and close to public transport links. We offer a hybrid approach to working so the apprenticeship may include office and home working depending on the role and team. Initially, all roles will be office based until initial induction periods are complete.
What study will be involved?
You will have 6 hours a week reserved for study. You will receive weekly virtual training from our apprenticeship provider. You will have a dedicated apprentice coach and work-based manager to help guide you through your apprenticeship journey.
What hours will I work?
You will work a total of 35 hours a week. This includes your 6 hours of study time with the training provider. You will work Monday – Friday between the hours of 08:30 – 17:30, but hours will vary depending on the role.
What support will be available?
When you join us, you will be introduced to your team and apprenticeship provider. To help settle you in, you will have regular catch ups with both your manager and your apprenticeship coach, to review your progress and on-going training. Have 5 GCSE’s including English Language and Maths (A-C or 9-4).
