The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving those standards and take action when they are not met.

Our Wales team will rely on you for collaborative, efficient and timely administrative support. You will play a key part in organising our work from meetings, events and travel, to video conferences. You will work with the Head of GMC Wales to bring the team together to collaborate and plan and will be responsible for working with the facilities team to managing the smooth running of our office in Cardiff Bay.

A highly organised individual, you have a proven ability to handle diverse and competing priorities, without sacrificing your keen attention to detail. You’ll bring to the role a host of relevant skills - from managing electronic diaries, to supporting events delivery. We expect you to have excellent audio and copy typing skills (50wpm minimum) and to be familiar with Microsoft Office.

While strong written skills are crucial, you should also demonstrate excellent relationship building skills. You will enjoy scope to have a major impact on the efficient management of the team’s work, so the ability to innovate and suggest ideas for process improvements will really set you apart.
